Carlton is a founding member of Mackie Creek, and what is remarkable about him as the bass player is his knowledge of chords and song structure. We look to him when a certain tune has us scratchin' our heads, and alot of times we don't need to say a word! "That's a minor 7th chord...ya nincompoop!" Naw, just kiddin'! He is a truly creative, versatile bass player. His playing is the driving force of our tunes, and he knows his instrument better than many of the other bass players we've heard.
